Base Camp is a quarterly event for pastors and ministry leaders (paid and non-paid) who want to build community and competency for ministry in the Denver area.
July’s topic is: How To Expand Your Ministry (and still have a weekend)
When I was pastoring a church and the topic of work came up in conversations, many people would compare the difficulty of their work with mine by joking, “It must be nice only working one day a week.”
The truth is, pastors and ministry leaders are some of the hardest working people I know, and the task of leading God’s community is one of the most difficult tasks one can undertake. The temptation for every leader in ministry is to work harder and longer in order to accomplish their ministry goals.
Yet what if there was a way to expand your ministry and still have a weekend? Would you want that?
The key to expanding your ministry while still having a weekend is by doing less not more. When we focus our leadership on empowering others to lead alongside of us rather than doing all the ministry ourselves, we will find our ministry expands spiritually, creatively, financially, and numerically.
